FAQs
Q How many students can I deliver to at once?
A Enterprise Effusion can be delivered to any sized group up to a maximum of 60 in a single session.
Q How much space is required?
A The game mat is 3m square, so should sit comfortably in most classrooms. Alternatively with larger groups of students you might want to consider using a hall or playing the game outdoors. The students will be split into smaller teams, so they will need areas to group together and work in.
Q How long does the game take to complete?
A Delivery can take place over a full day or it can be run in hourly sections over a number of weeks, it’s entirely up to you. We can even offer ideas and suggestions on how you might incorporate it into a whole year of enterprise activity if you wish.
Q Does it require a Business Studies Teacher to run the delivery?
A No, as the programme has been written in a game format, the students really run it them-selves; you will simply need a facilitator (this could even be an older student). The added bonus here is that the facilitator will develop an understanding of enterprise education whilst the students learn – ensuring a wider benefit for the school in the long term.
Q Can it only be used for Enterprise Delivery?
A No, the original game also covers business studies and citizenship but by simply purchasing extra sets of game cards Enterprise can be incorporated into most curriculum subjects – again covering government recommendations.
Q What about other Enterprise activity we have already booked or purchased?
A Enterprise Effusion will compliment any other enterprise activity you have in mind, from work experience & training delivery to simulated games. Of course the added bonus is once you have purchased it, there are no further licenses to buy and you can use it again and again.
Q What are the advantages over computer games?
A At EnterpriseEd we do not believe computer simulations offer the full value of enterprise training, this is why we don’t endorse, sell or develop them. By nature they are isolating and often stifle creative and imaginative thinking. Enterprise is all about communication and teamwork, therefore we have developed something we feel addresses these issues, giving you a real option to deliver quality enterprise training that works.
Q Once the game has been played by a group of students, surely they won’t want to play it again in another lesson?
A No two games of Effusion are the same. Students will find that working with other groups will bring a whole new emphasis to their learning. Even if they happen to be in exactly the same teams when they play for a second time, they will learn to perfect their ideas, think more creatively and of course there are always the elements of risk and chance to consider.
